To identify the purpose and legal framework of the assessments you carry out with customers and explore different ways to gather information with customers promoting person-centred strengths based approach.
This will assist you in learning how to support people to make decisions, aid you identifying when a mental capacity assessment is required and how to carry one out appropriately.
Introduce you to a theoretical framework and practical guidance on using strengths and assets based approaches, including motivational interviewing and solutions focused skills and confidence in order to assist engagement with people in their own wellbeing and promote positive change.
It is designed to introduce the West Sussex ASYE
Scheme and to explain the process for the year.
It will also mark the start of the ASYE for
NQSW’s.
ASYE Reflective Workshops

Series of workshops (5 half day, 1 full day) and
are designed to support NQSWs from different
settings in developing and learning from their
practice experiences.
Completion of ASYE Event
This 2 hour workshop provides an opportunity for Social Workers and their supervisor/managers to celebrate completion of ASYE, review the programme and plan future professional development.
