As a member of staff within our in-house Social Care Services we have core skills training which supports you in becoming a safe practitioner in social care and links to the requirements and expectations of our regulatory bodies (where appropriate). There are a number of mandatory training courses which you are required to attend and we will support you to complete the training as soon as possible.  

This core mandatory training is to be completed within the first year of employment. Training will include both face to face training and online courses.

This online learning module is for anyone working within Health and Social Care, who are caring and supporting people over the age of 16 in England and Wales. It will assist you in learning how to support people to make decisions, aid you in identifying when a mental capacity assessment is required and how to carry one out appropriately. 
Supporting Positive Behaviour in People with Learning Disabilities  1 day workshop The aim of this workshop is to enable you to reflect on reasons why people behave in ways that could be perceived as challenging. The workshop will also enable you to consider approaches that support individuals to communicate positively.

Nutrition, Hydration and using the Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool (MUST) 1/2 day workshop The workshop will look at ways that you can support the person using the service, to prevent malnutrition and dehydration from occurring.
