Safeguarding Children is everyone’s responsibility and in order to assist you to do that a standardised induction and training pathway for those employed within the Education and Skills directorate is shown below.

There are two aspects to the training:

1. Minimum Training
- All staff
2. Enhanced Training - All those who have contact, including on the telephone with children and or families.

Your line manager has been asked to ensure that you undertake the training and will monitor your progress. Managers are also expected to discuss the content of the online training with staff and reinforce key points during team meetings/supervision.

To complete the minimum training start by reading the key documents and completing the online training outlined below.
For those that require enhanced training, the events you are required to complete are listed below, you will be contacted by email with available dates.
