This pathway is for all childcare staff working in residential care who are not Social Work qualified. The pathway will guide you through the Learning and Development opportunities available to you in your first two years in post.

The Secrets of Self Harm  
This one day workshop is for relevant staff to develop their understanding of issues related to Self Harm. Some people use self harming behaviour as a coping strategy when life gets unbearable. This interactive workshop, which includes group discussion and practical exercises provides an opportunity to explore personal stories of the intricacy of self harm.

Sexual Abuse: Caring for Children and Young People Who Have Been Sexually Abused  
This two day course is for all professional child care staff and Foster Carers Level 1 pathway. It addresses identification of sexual abuse, how that impacts on child development and offers strategies to manage sexualised behaviour.
