End of Life Dementia Care

Event Description This module is for all staff working with people with dementia, It will explore how to ensure high quality, compassionate and co-ordinated end of life care for people with dementia, meeting their physical and psychological needs and paying attention to the needs of their families.
Training Objectives The aim of this module is to explore End of Life Dementia Care. 
Learning Outcomes If you apply what you have learnt in this module you will be able to:

  • Recognise when someone is in their last days or weeks of life
  • Meet the psychosocial needs of people with dementia at the end of life
  • Identify how to Support the needs of family carers, including bereavement
