Communicating Effectively with Those in Our Care

Event Description This online learning module is for staff who are new to working in Adult Social Care. It will support you in developing an awareness of ways to communicate effectively with the people in your care, so that you are better able to support them in a person-centred way.
Training Objectives The aim of this module is to help you develop the knowledge and skills, in communicating in a variety of different ways, so that you are able to adapt your communication style to better support the people in your care. 
Learning Outcomes If you apply what you have learnt in this module, you will be able to:

  • Have an awareness of the range of communication styles and needs of the people you support.
  • Provide good, safe, person-centred care to people you support and look after who live in a range of settings.
  • Provide care with dignity and respect.
