Managing Virtual Teams

Event Description This 10-minute online module is for staff at West Sussex County Council and seeks to support you in managing virtual teams in which individuals work independently on a shared organisational purpose, using a range of technologies to communicate and collaborate.
Training Objectives The aim of this module is to support you in exploring the benefits and challenges of working in a virtual team, the importance of a clear communication plan and the role of the manager in ensuring the team’s success. 
Learning Outcomes If you apply what you have learnt in this online module you will be able to;

  • Have an awareness of the benefits and challenges of working in a virtual team.
  • Identify the importance of a clear communication plan.
  • Identify your role as manager in ensuring the team’s success.
