Dangerous Substances Care Provider Module

Event Description This 15 minute online learning course is for all care provider staff.

It seeks to introduce you to dangerous substances, the associated risks, potential health implications, and the responsibilities of yourself and your employer in minimising hazards of dangerous substances in the workplace.

West Sussex County Council staff and Health and Safety SLA schools should see the COSH Interactive Module.
Training Objectives The aim of this course is to support you in raising your awareness of the different types of dangerous substances and their possible short and long-term health implications.

You will also consider the responsibilities of the employee and the organisation in ensuring that everyone is safe from the hazards and risks of Dangerous Substances in the workplace. 
Learning Outcomes If you apply what you have learnt in this online module you will be able to;

  • Define what is a dangerous substance.
  • Identify different types of Dangerous Substances.
    Recognise the short and long-term health implications.
  • Consider the responsibilities of the employee and the organisation.
