Food Law

Event Description This 15 minute online learning module is for staff in the Care Sector providing a service to residents of West Sussex. It will provide you with an introduction to the food laws and legislation in place to protect the health, safety and welfare of consumers.

Please note this online learning module is a good introduction to this subject, however; the Level 2 Food Safety qualification is still required by law for staff in a catering role.
Training Objectives The aim of this module is to explore food laws and legislation, increasing your awareness of your duties, the main responsibilities under the Act and the consequences of breaches. 
Learning Outcomes If you apply what you have learnt in this online module you will be able to:

  • Identify the laws and legislation in place to project the health, safety and welfare of consumers.
