Training Objectives |
The aim of this course is to raise awareness of substances used in the workplace that could be hazardous to health if they were handled or used without proper precautions. |

Learning Outcomes |
If you apply what you have learnt on this course you will be able to:
Define what COSHH is and recognise what constitutes a substance hazardous to healthIdentify hazards in your own workplace, understand how risks are assessed and your role in that processExplain the key exposure routes, describe exposure limits and recognise the importance of safety data sheetsUse personal protective equipment correctly to limit your exposure to hazardous substancesUnderstand what monitoring and health surveillance are and recognise their importanceRecognise the value of appropriate training for anyone working with substances hazardous to healthPlan how to deal with emergencies in line with your level of responsibility |
