Event Description

This short video for all staff and explains the key provisions of the Equality Act in relation to Diversity and Inclusion and offers good practice guidance on working effectively with the legislation.
Training Objectives The aim of this video is to give you an understanding of how the Equality Act legally protects people from harassment, victimisation and discrimination in the workplace and in wider society on the grounds of certain protected characteristics. 
Learning Outcomes If you apply what you have learnt from this video you will be able to:

  • Recognise the key provisions of the Equality Act and the nine protected characteristics
  • Identify what constitutes bullying, harassment and victimisation in law
  • Recognise how our unconscious bias can affect the decisions we make about people
  • Identify the business benefits of a diverse and inclusive working environment
