Safeguarding Adults - Basic Awareness

Event Description This module is for all staff. It looks at what to do if you or someone you know is experiencing or at risk of being neglected or abused.

It complies with Skills for Care, Care Certificate Standard 10: Safeguarding adults, and will help you work towards that standard.
Training Objectives The aim of this course is to provide you with the skills and knowledge of what to do should you or someone you know experience, be at risk of or be neglected or abused. 
Learning Outcomes If you apply what you have learnt on this course you will be able to:

  • Identify the principles of safeguarding adults
  • Describe ways to reduce and help prevent the likelihood of abuse
  • Explain how to respond to safeguarding concerns and disclosure
  • State the guidance, policies and local systems that relate to protection from neglect and abuse
