Free Entitlement: Part 1

Event Description This module is for all Early Help Service staff. It introduces you to the Free Entitlement (FE) funding for 2, 3 and 4 year old children, explains which children are eligible and how parents and carers access places at providers. It also enables Children and Family Centre staff to deal with enquiries from parents and carers effectively.
Training Objectives The aim of this module is to help you understand Free Entitlement funding and the role you play in advising parents and carers. 
Learning Outcomes If you apply what you have learnt on this module you will be able to:

  • Recognise the benefits of FE for children
  • Discover which children can receive FE
  • Identify how, when and where FE can be claimed
