Excel 2010 for Beginners

Event Description This module is for all staff who are beginners to Excel 2010 or those who would like to brush up on their skills.

The course is made up of a number of modules and begins with an introduction to the software package and its essential functionality. You look at how navigate the screen interface and what the various buttons and icons represent. From here, you will learn how create your own workbook and how you can copy and move data into and out of your workbook. There will also be segments on how you open other workbooks and also how to save your own.

This then leads onto some of the functionalities of Excel and how these are used. Learners will be introduced to formulas and how to use them properly in a spread sheet.
Training Objectives The aim of this module is to enhance your productivity and resourcefulness with Excel 2010.

  • Identify the Function of Excel
  • Recognised workbook and ribbon layout
  • Apply formulas and Functions to your workbook
  • Manage data in your workbooks
