Public Sector Equality Duty

Event Description This short module is for all West Sussex County Council staff.

It will explain WSCC's, and your, role when it comes to the Equality Duty and specifically the final specific duties regulations which came into force on 10 September 2011.
Training Objectives The aim of this module is to provide you with an understanding of West Sussex County Council's specific duties in relation to the Public Sector Equality Duty. 
Learning Outcomes If you apply what you have learnt in this module you will be able to:

  • State the protected characteristics
  • Recognise the benefits of the equality duty
  • Explain monitoring and enforcement procedures
  • Demonstrate good practice in the workplace
