Domestic Abuse Awareness Webinar

Event Description This course has two parts. Part one is the Domestic Abuse Awareness Online module. It will take approximately 90 minutes to complete and to complete and must be completed before attending the Webinar.

Part two is an interactive webinar which covers basic Domestic Abuse Awareness and is aimed at anyone working with young people, adults and families who may be experiencing or have experienced Domestic Abuse. During the webinar you will be part of a group with direct access to a trainer who will be 'teaching' during the session.

Please be aware- due to the content of this online course delegates may feel triggered around their own lived experience of Domestic Abuse or someone they know. Please consider if this is the right time to complete this course. Training objectives The aim of this course is to provide you with a thorough understanding of the prevalence, nature and effects of domestic abuse and to increase your confidence in identification, risk assessment and safety planning. You will learn about the barriers people may experience when accessing support and increase your knowledge on where additional support and information can be accessed in West Sussex.
