Event Description
This 3 hour online workshop is for staff working in Children’s Social Care only. It is essential for all Children’s Social Workers including ASYEs, Child and Family Workers, Family Aides, Residential Childcare Workers, Child Protection Advisors, Independent Reviewing Officers, Advanced Practitioners and Practice Managers. You should also attend this event if you line manage any of these roles.

The voice of the child and the lived experiences of children, young people and families must inform Social Work practice. This workshop focuses on:
  • Direct, meaningful and good engagement with children and young people in case work.
  • Enabling and empowering children and young people to participate in decision-making and service design.

    Training objectives The aim of this course is to:

  • Ensure children's views in the analysis of assessments are always evident and that parents and carers are consistently provided with a copy of the assessment.
  • Explore ways work may be conducted and the impact on children, young people, and families.
  •
