Train the Trainers - Infection Prevention and Control

Event Description This 1 day workshop will focus on supporting you the in-house trainer to deliver basic Infection Prevention and Control training within your organisation.

The workshop will provide the underpinning knowledge to meet Skills for Care, NICE Guidance, Public Health England and the Care Quality Commission minimum training requirements for Infection Prevention and Control.

Before attending the workshop you are required to:
  • Have subject competency and credibility within your own organisation to train staff
  • Have subject competency and credibility within your own organisation to train staff
  • Have substantial experience of training and/or be a qualified trainer (e.g. have undertaken a short training course as a minimum or hold a PTTLS or similar qualification)
  • Have the support of your manager to take part in any on-going training to support continual professional development

    Training objectives The aim of the workshop is to support in-house trainers to deliver Infection Prevention and Control training within their establishments. The sessions will enable you to identify material to be used in-house to deliver training that is specific to your client group, convenient to the organisation and to help embed team/organisational understanding of the subject matter.
