Preventing Radicalisation and Violent Extremism

Event Description
This 2.5 hour workshop is for WSCC staff and partner agencies and explores the factors that can lead to extremism by identifying the links between vulnerability and radicalisation. The workshop will better equip you to be able to support people who might be susceptible to radicalisation, ensuring that individuals are diverted before any crime is committed.

Training objectives The aim of this workshop is to raise your understanding of the Prevent Agenda, which helps to stop people becoming involved in or supporting violent extremism or terrorism. The training will also provide local context regarding risks and threats in Sussex and highlight sources of support, such as the Channel programme.
