Fraud Awareness For Local Government - 'Doing The Right Thing' |
|||||||||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Event Description | This Reporting Fraud e-learning module is for all staff. Fraud is a significant issue. In their Annual fraud Indicator 2012, the National Fraud Authority (NFA) estimated the total loss to the Local Government sector as being £2.2 billion. This impacts on your ability to maintain both service levels and jobs at a time when budgets are already under pressure. As part of a wider approach to tackling fraud, this module is a key tool for helping you to implement the NFA’s Fighting Fraud Locally strategy, thus helping minimise losses and generate much needed savings. | ||||||||||
Training Objectives | The aim of this course is to provide you with general fraud awareness information, so as to help further embed a counter fraud culture and hence aid the deterrence, prevention and detection of fraud across the local authority. |
