Introduction to Contact With Birth Families

Event Description In this course we will look at how West Sussex helps in cases of contact between a child or young person and their family. It looks at the legislation and National Minimum Standards that support a child having contact with their birth family when looked after by a local authority. It needs to be completed before undertaking the Contact With Birth Parents half day course.
Training Objectives The aim of this course is to introduce you to the legislation and National Minimum Standards that support a child having contact with their birth family when looked after by a local authority and to prepare you for the Contact With Birth Parents half day course. 
Learning Outcomes If you apply what you have learnt on this course you will be able to:

  • Recognise why compliance with the Acceptable Use Policy is important
  • Identify acceptable and unacceptable uses of Council IT facilities
