Event Description This online learning module is essential for Shared Lives Carers providing a service in, or based from, their own home.

It will increase your knowledge of the internet, including the advantages, the risks and how to mitigate them. You will also learn when to safeguard and how to find support if you have concerns.
Training Objectives The aim of this module is for you to appreciate the balance of risk and safety associated with the internet and feel confident working with the individuals you support to achieve safe internet use. 
Learning Outcomes If you apply what you have learnt in this online module, you will be able to;

  • Identify advantages of internet usage.
  • List the risks involved in using the internet.
  • Explain ways you can make using the internet safer.
