Supporting Someone with their Personal Care

Event Description This online learning module is for staff at West Sussex County Council (WSCC) and in the care sector, who are assisting and supporting in delivering care services during the COVID19 pandemic.

It will provide you with information and video guides on how to carry out personal care, in order to make it a positive experience, promoting dignity and privacy.

Training Objectives The aim of this module is for you to feel more confident in providing someone with personal care; it will advise you on best practice and what you need to consider before starting.
Learning Outcomes If you apply what you have learnt in this online module, you will be able to;

  • Help someone to wash and dress, feeling more confident in doing so.
  • Promote dignity and privacy, as well as the importance of it.
  • Address incontinence issues, hygiene and Infection Control.
  • Use a person centred approach.
    Course Pre-Requisites You will need a head-set or earphones to listen to the videos included in this module.
