Workplace Diplomacy

Event Description This 10-minute online learning module is for staff at West Sussex County Council (WSCC) and seeks to support you to explore diplomacy and tact, which are essential workplace skills which take time, patience and good judgement to develop as each person and situation is unique.

By honing these skills you will be able to convey your ideas or opinions without damaging relationships or causing offence.
Training Objectives The aim of this module is to explore why diplomacy is important, how to become a diplomat and the key skills involved in effectively communicating with others, including developing your emotional intelligence to help secure a win-win outcome. 
Learning Outcomes If you apply what you have learnt in this online module you will be able to;

  • Outline the importance of diplomacy in the workplace.
  • Identify how to become a diplomat and the key skills involved.
