Sleep Well - Children with Additional Needs

Event Description This online learning module is aimed at anyone who is working directly with parents, families or children and is also appropriate for parents and carers.

It will explore a range of additional needs, their symptoms, and how these can impact sleep, as well as exploring how children with additional needs may have different sleep requirements, and how their condition may affect their sleep or routines.
Training Objectives This aim of this module is to provide you with an overview of common additional needs, their symptoms and how these can impact sleep and routines.

It aims to improve knowledge and understanding, however does not result in a formal qualification. 
Learning Outcomes If you apply what you have learnt in this module, you will be able to:

  • Recognise common additional needs and their potential symptoms.
  • Explain how additional needs may impact sleep and routines.
  • Recognise techniques which will support a good night’s sleep.
