Introduction to Risk Management

Event Description This 15 minute online learning module is for all staff at West Sussex County Council. It seeks to provide you with an Introduction to Risk Management within the County Council.
Training Objectives The aim of this module is to support you in developing a fundamental awareness of what Risk Management is and what is meant when we speak about Risk Management at West Sussex County Council.

It will guide you in ways of undertaking Risk Management activities in your own work, and the benefits to you of doing so, as well as signposting you to resources and people that can help you. 
Learning Outcomes If you apply what you have learnt in this module you will be able to;

  • Have an awareness of what is meant by ‘risk’ and ‘risk management’, and the purpose of ’risk management’ activities.
  • You will appreciate the benefits that managing risk can bring.
  • You will be able to identify, manage and communicate risk.
  • You will recognise how to use risk management in order to achieve your objectives.
