Event Description This 35 minute online learning course is for West Sussex County Council staff on the essentials of Lifting Operation safety in the workplace.
Training Objectives The aim of this course is to help you identify what Lifting Operations are, the risks and facts associated with Lifting Operations and how to assess the risks when carrying out a lifting operation. 
Learning Outcomes If you apply what you have learnt within this online module you will be able to;

  • Identify the key requirements of the LOLER Regulations.
  • Define what is meant by the term a ‘Load’.
  • State what equipment is covered.
  • Identify the key duties and responsibilities under LOLER.
  • Recognise the key risks associated with using lifting equipment.
  • Identify ways of reducing the risks when using lifting equipment.
  • Take appropriate action to maintain safety.
