Stepladder and Ladder Safety

Event Description This course is for West Sussex County Council (WSCC) staff that use stepladders or ladders within WSCC locations.
Training Objectives The aim of this course is to support you in raising your awareness of the correct methods and practices for using stepladders and ladders safely. 
Learning Outcomes If you apply what you have learnt within this module you will be able to;

  • Identify the main hazards and risks when using a stepladder or ladder.
  • Identify when it is appropriate to use a stepladder or ladder.
  • Use a stepladder or ladder using best practice guidelines.
  • Carry out pre-use checks to promote safety.
  • Take appropriate action in order to minimise risks to yourself and those around you.
