Health and Safety Introduction - Care Provider Module

Event Description This 15 minute online learning module is for all care provider staff.

It will give you a quick and comprehensive introduction to Health and Safety at work, considering effective health and safety management and the responsibility of both the employer and the employee.
Training Objectives The aim of this module is to introduce you to health and safety law, why this is important and how this applies in practice in the workplace. It will also consider hazards, risks and how to assess these. 
Learning Outcomes If you apply what you have learnt in this online module you will be able to:

  • Explain why Health and Safety law is important.
  • Explain how Health and Safety law applies in practice.
  • Identify the difference between a hazard and a risk, as well as possible causes and consequences of accidents
