Food Allergy

Event Description This 15-minute online learning module is for staff at West Sussex County Council and seeks to introduce you to food allergies and the consequences they can have on the human body.

Please note this online learning module is a good introduction to this subject, however; the Level 2 Food Safety qualification is still required by law for staff in a catering role.
Training Objectives The aim of this module is to explore food allergens and the consequences of food allergy on the human body.

The module will look at routes of exposure and cover some important allergen statistics. 
Learning Outcomes If you apply what you have learnt in this online module you will be able to;

  • Explain food allergens and the consequences of food allergy on the human body.
  • Identify routes of exposure.
