Manual Handling Interactive

Event Description This course is for West Sussex County Council managers and staff and covers the essentials of manual handling in the workplace. You will also work through a manual handling process to help you understand a method in which you manually handle a load based on a few key points.
Training Objectives The aim of this course is to help you identify what manual handling is, the risks and facts associated with manual handling and how to assess the risks of manual handling. 
Learning Outcomes If you apply what you have learnt on this course you will be able to:

  • Identify different manual handling techniques and potential lifting hazards
  • Recognise ways of preventing short and long term injuries
  • Identify mechanical aids to help manual handling operations in the workplace
  • Identify a manual handling method in which you manually handle a load based on a few key points
