Event Description This module is for Children and Family Centre (CFC) Advisory Board members. It introduces you to the role played by members and the functions carried out by the board.
Training Objectives The aim of this module is to provide you with an introduction and overview of the role of Advisory Board members and the objectives of the Advisory Board. 
Learning Outcomes If you apply what you have learnt on this course you will be able to:

  • Recognise the core purpose of a Children and Family Centre (CFC) and how your skills or local knowledge will contribute to its delivery
  • State who should be represented on a board, and why
  • Identify ways to evaluate the progress of your CFCs
  • Provide support and challenge to the centre staff team and contribute to the effective delivery of board meetings
  • Discover why local parent user representation is essential
