Setting the scene – a history of Children and Family Centres in West Sussex

Event Description This module is for Early Help Service staff and Children and Family Centre (CFC) Advisory Board members. It explains how CFCs have developed in the county and the factors that have shaped the current offer.
Training Objectives The aim of this module is to provide you with a historical overview of the development of Children and Family Centres to explain the basis of the current offer. 
Learning Outcomes If you apply what you have learnt on this course you will be able to:

  • Articulate the political and demographic influences on the development of our Children and Family Centres (CFCs)
  • Recognise why CFCs have been built where they are
  • Discover the timescale for the programme
  • Discover the design principles applied to our CFCs
