This half day course is aimed at transport staff working with children and vulnerable adults who have already completed the individual Safeguarding and Disability Awareness courses. This combined Refresher training should be completed every 3 years for staff working on WSCC transport contracts.
|
|||||
The aim of this course is to increase awareness of safeguarding, identify whose responsibility it is, identify the different types of abuse and what to look out for, as well as how to raise a concern if you are worried about the safety of an adult or child.
The course is designed to improve service delivery and customer skills for drivers and passenger assistants transporting passengers focusing on a range of disabilities and epilepsy. The course delivers participants information on legislation and good practice on the transporting of wheelchairs, plus direction on the procedures for responding to and reporting medical incidents. |
