This 3-hour webinar is for professionals and will provide you with an overview of the child protection conference process and how you should prepare and actively contribute.

  • The aim of this webinar is to support you in developing your awareness around the expectations of your professional role when preparing for and attending a child protection conference.

    It will take you through the process and explain the importance of ensuring a child focussed approach in order to promote outcomes and keep the child safe.
    If you apply what you have learnt in this webinar you will be able to:

  • Identify the importance of preparing reports for Child Protection Conferences that are child-centred, outcome focused and capture the impact of any intervention offered to date.
  • Recognise what outcome focussed planning is and how it generates timely progress and improved outcomes for children and young people.
  • Recognise the importance of actively contributing to planning, decision making and recommendations in the conference and where necessary raise formal dissent.
  • Demonstrate practice which ensure the voice of the child is at the centre of planning.
