Practical Steps Positive Outcomes - Understanding Inclusive Practice (full day webinar)

This full day webinar is suitable for any early years practitioner.

Children have a right, spelled out in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, to provision which enables them to develop their personalities, talents and abilities irrespective of ethnicity, culture or religion, home language, family background, learning difficulties, disabilities or gender.
This stimulating and interactive course explores our attitudes to inclusion and unconscious bias. Models of inclusion are considered plus an overview of vulnerable groups of children and factors that can affect progress. Audits that support reflection of inclusive practice and provision will be provided. Content fully aligns with the revised EYFS, in place from September 2021.

This webinar is hosted on Zoom. Please download the free Zoom app onto your computer or device before the session.

You must have access to a computer or tablet, the internet and a web camera to participate. Mobile phones are not suitable due to the small screen.

The aim of this course is to explore how to develop inclusive practice and provision in order to give children the best start in life.
If you apply what you have learnt in this course you will be able to;

  • reflect on your own and others’ attitudes to inclusion in order to discuss successes and challenges and review provision and practice in your setting.
  • identify barriers to inclusion and consider planned support that has positive impact .
