This one day webinar is for practitioners working with children aged birth to two years.

What are the components of the highest quality provision for babies?
This stimulating and informative one day Enable Children webinar considers what really matters when working with children under two years. It aligns fully with the revised EYFS, in place from September 2021.

The course seeks to support you to thread responsive, playful and informed practice and provision throughout a baby’s day. It is wide ranging including exploration of many aspects of dynamic child-focused practice including attachment, attunement, interactions, communication and language development, physical development, schemas, treasure baskets, heuristic play and books.

This webinar is hosted on Zoom. Please download the free Zoom app onto your computer or device BEFORE the session.

You must have access to a computer or tablet, the internet and a web camera to participate. Mobile phones are not suitable due to the small screen.

The aims of this course are:

  • to help you to meet the learning and development needs of babies and toddlers.
  • To create a responsive and stimulating learning environment that meets the needs of under twos.
  • If you apply what you have learnt on this course you will be able to:

  • recognise the importance of quality adult and child interactions that meet and enhance the development needs of the youngest children.
  • Create a responsive and evolving enabling environment that meets the needs of under two’s.
  • Identify and implement good practice with babies that promotes their well being and development.
  • Pre-course learning (attachment in the Gateway Course Place Confirmation email) - Before attending the course, please choose ONE of the Prime areas of learning and development and read about it from the attached exerts of Development Matters 2020. Think about an under two year old you work with. Can you think of examples of when you have seen this child doing some of the things described in the column Birth to three – babies, toddlers and young children will be learning to?

    Please also bring a copy of Development Matters 2020 to the webinar, either a paper version or an online one on another screen.
