Recruitment and Interview Training

This 3.5 hour workshop, via Skype webinar, provides an overview of the recruitment process from the identification of a vacancy through to the interview, and is mandatory training for recruiting managers.

It will provide you with an understanding of the importance of preparation and considers in detail how to recruit fairly and within the law.

Poor recruitment can lead to high turnover of staff, absenteeism, poor performance and a significant amount of management time sorting out the problem. Getting the right person for the job is very important and the time spent in preparing and thinking through the selection and interviewing process is an excellent investment in the longer term.
This training will develop your skills and knowledge required to recruit new staff.
If you apply what you have learnt on this course you will be able to:

  • Apply the principles of employment legislation and Equality and Diversity in the recruitment process.
  • Demonstrate how to use the scoring system to short list application forms.
  • Recognise the importance of planning in the selection process.
  • Plan and identify interview questions relevant to the job.
  • Carry out a fair and thorough selection and competency based interviewing process.
  • Manage new starters including initiating the Induction Process.
