This 3-hour MS Teams webinar is for anyone working with children and young people and will support you to explore the role of the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) in relation to safeguarding children and young people when allegations are made against potentially unsuitable adults.

IMPORTANT

    The aim of this webinar is to support you in exploring the role of the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO). You will identify and define what an allegation is and ensure that you know what to do if there is an allegation made against a professional. You will look at how to keep children safe when they come into contact with adults in organised environments

    In this webinar you will have the opportunity to explore scenarios, ask questions and engage in multi-agency discussions.
    If you apply what you have learnt in this webinar, you will be able to:

  • Identify the role of the LADO and when you should contact them.
  • Follow the correct process when an allegation is made against an individual.
  • Use your knowledge to feedback the key messages to your agency/organisation.
