Working Together To Safeguard Children Refresher

Course / Webinar

This half day course is for practitioners working across the children and young people's workforce to refresh their safeguarding knowledge.
The aim of this course is to provide you with a multi-agency environment to update your safeguarding knowledge and understanding in order for you to carry out your safeguarding role within your agency.

You will explore new safeguarding updates through discussion, case studies and other engaging activities.
If you apply what you have learnt on this course you will be able to:

  • Identify updates about recent changes in safeguarding.
  • Be familiar with tools and processes that will support your professional judgement.
  • Have an awareness of mechanisms available to support you in your safeguarding role.
  • Be able to identify the qualities of a good referral to MASH.
  • Know about the escalation process, what this looks like and how it applies to practice.
  • This is a Safeguarding Refresher course. There is the expectation that you will have previously completed a full day's training on Safeguarding.

You should also be working in a role that involves children or young people.

Charges may apply. Please consult the WSSCB Charging and Cancellation Policy before applying.
