Behaviour Management and Physical Intervention - Team-Teach (Refresher)

This one day course is a mandatory annual refresher course for residential staff. Please bring your latest in date certificate on the day for re-accreditation.

It updates the knowledge and skills required when implementing positive handling as part of a whole setting approach to behaviour management.
The aim of this event is to foster an appreciation of British Institute of Learning Disabilities (BILD) accredited training of Childrens Services in Positive Handling strategies through a whole setting, holistic approach to actively reduce risk.
If you apply what you have learnt on this course, you will be able to:

  • Implement skills in Positive Handling skills and Behaviour Management
  • Identify how to divert, de-escalate and safely use effective humane physical interventions
  • Demonstrate the values which will enable you to implement Team-Teach in the work place
  • Employ effective skills in Positive Listening and Learning
  • You must have completed either the 2 day Team-Teach course or the Basic 6hr course.

    You are expected to read the attached 'Health Questionnaire for Team-Teach' document before attending the course.

    Please bring your certificate on the day for re-accreditation.
