COVID-19 Infection Prevention Control for Social Care

This 1 hour webinar is to help support staff in Children and Adult Social Care to continue delivery of best practice standards around COVID-19 pandemic infection prevention and control according to their work responsibilities and environment.

The webinar will be hosted by an expert in infection prevention and control.
The aim of this webinar is to explore COVID-19/flu and what it is, how to prevent the spread and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This webinar will also cover managing the environment and your general health.
If you apply what you have learnt in this workshop you will be able to;

  • Discuss COVID-19 infections/Flu
  • Describe how to break the chain of infection/infection prevention and control
  • Keep safe with personal protective equipment/donning and doffing of personal protective equipment
  • Demonstrate how to manage the environment and assess risk
  • recognise good personal hygiene and the correct hygiene practises to reduce covid19 infection and Flu
  • Identify mental health and psychological first aid related to the pandemic
  • Find COVID-19 related Guidelines and Protocol
  • Attendees must have access to a computer, the internet, a web camera with microphone and have access to MS Team to be able to participate.
