Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Partnership Workshop

This 3 hour online workshop is for social workers in their Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) only.

The purpose of this workshop is to achieve better outcomes for children and young people by providing a shared understanding of the tasks, processes, principles and roles and responsibilities outlined in the refreshed MASH guidance, and the local arrangements for safeguarding children and promoting their welfare.

The aim of this workshop is to:

  • Promote more effective and integrated services and improve communication between professionals
  • Support a common understanding of key terms, definitions and thresholds for action.
  • Encourage effective working relationships, including an ability to work in multi-disciplinary groups
  • Support sound decision-making, based on information sharing, consent and GDPR, thorough assessment, critical analysis and professional judgement.
  • If you apply what you have learned in this workshop you will be able to:

  • Demonstrate local and national safeguarding knowledge
  • Identify and distinguish between need, harm, and risk
  • Recognise and participate in effective partnership safeguarding
  • Apply your understanding of relevant legislation
