Safeguarding and Child Protection for the Designated Person in Early Years Settings Webinar

Course / Webinar
This half day, online course is for designated safeguarding or child protection coordinators, managers and established child-minders.
It seeks to support you in fulfilling your leadership role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in your care.

The course has two parts. Part one is a self-led, online learning pack which will be emailed to you approximately one month before the course. It will take about one hour, and MUST be completed any time before the webinar. Part two is the online webinar.
During the webinar you will be part of a group with direct access to a trainer who will be 'teaching' during the session. You must have access to a computer or tablet, the internet, a web camera with microphone and have set up a (free) Zoom account to be able to participate. Mobile phones are acceptable, but not recommended due to the small screen.

Please contact us on early.years.training@westsussex.gov.uk if you have any questions about Zoom.

The joining link will be emailed to you the day before the course, it is NOT on the course confirmation email. If you do not receive it, please check your junk mail folder, then email us on early.years.training@westsussex.gov.uk.
The aim of this webinar is to encourage you to explore the breadth of your role including raising awareness and confidence in your safeguarding responsibilities and are able to recognise when and how to make appropriate referrals.
If you apply what you have learnt in this course you will be able to;
