Train the Trainers - Medication Administration Level 2

Workshop
This 1 day workshop will focus on supporting you as the in-house trainer to deliver Medication Level 2 (Administration) training within your organisation.

The workshop will provide you with the underpinning knowledge to meet Skills for Care, Care Quality Commission and NICE guidelines, as the minimum training requirements for Medication Administration.

You will need to be aware of the content of the West Sussex County Council Medication Policy.

Before attending the workshop you are also required to:

  • Have subject competency and credibility within your own organisation to train staff i.e. Diploma/NVQ module at Level 3 in Medication.
  • Have completed the Medication Administration Level 2 training within the last year.
  • Have substantial experience of training and/or be a qualified trainer (e.g. have undertaken a short training course as a minimum or hold a PTTLS or similar qualification)
  • Have the support of your manager to take part in any on-going training to support continual professional development
  • The aim of the workshop is to support in-house trainers to deliver Medication Administration training within their establishments. The sessions will enable you to identify material to be used in-house to deliver training that is specific to your client group, convenient to the organisation and to help embed team/organisational understanding of the subject matter.
    If you apply what you have learnt on this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Have the support of your manager to take part in an on-going trainers forum to support continual professional development
