This skype webinar discussion is suitable for new staff who have limited training / learning with regards to the Mental Capacity Act 2005 There is an expectation that individuals will complete Introduction to Mental Capacity Act e-learning course on the Learning and Development Gateway prior to attending. The Mental Capacity Act e-learning will assist you in learning how to support people to make decisions, aid you in identifying when a mental capacity assessment is required and how to carry one out appropriately. You will also briefly explore how 'Best Interests' decisions are made and learn your responsibilities in relation to the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. |

The aim of the structured webinar discussion offers people to opportunity to ask questions and clarify their responsibility and duties relating to the Mental Capacity Act guidance and legislation.
