Communication Friendly Early Years Settings

This half day course is for SENCO’s and managers of Early Years settings. Key workers may also be interested if they have already attended basic Speech and Language training courses such as Talking Clearly and Practical Communication Activities and Information. IPEH staff may also attend if applicable to their role.

Before coming on this course you should have attended a Speech and Language course such as Talking Clearly or Practical Communication Activities and Information.
The aim of this course is to support settings, and will enable you to demonstrate how you meet the standards set within the Better Communication Research Project audit. It will assist you in promoting a communication friendly setting environment.
If you apply what you have learned on this course, you will be able to:

  • Apply adjustments to your setting so that it is communication friendly and meets the standards of the Better Communication Research Project audit for environment and opportunity.
  • Perform an annual audit of your setting so that it continues to maintain its standard as a communication friendly environment.
  • This course has been arranged for Early Years settings. Other groups are welcome to attend, but please read the course costs below before booking.
