Behaviour Management and Physical Intervention - Team-Teach

This one day course is recommended for staff or Foster Carers who primarily work alone in low risk environments.

It explores the development of the knowledge and skills required when implementing Positive Handling as part of a whole setting approach to behaviour management.
The aim of this course is to foster an appreciation of the British Institute of Learning Disabilities (BILD) accredited training of Childrens Services in Positive Handling strategies through a whole setting, holistic approach to actively reduce risk.
If you apply what you have learnt on this course you will be able to:

  • Implement skills in Positive Handling skills and Behaviour Management
  • Identify how to divert, de-escalate and safely use effective humane physical interventions
  • Demonstrate the values which will enable you to implement Team Teach in the work place
  • Employ effective skills in Positive Listening and Learning
  • It is an expectation that you have downloaded and read the Health and Safety Awareness check.
