This full day course is designed for all staff who have infrequent or irregular contact with children, young people, parents or carers who may become aware of possible child abuse or neglect.
This is an introductory course to children's safeguarding, to enable staff to be more alert to children's safety and welfare and know how to act on any concerns. This is not a refresher course for staff who have already completed safeguarding training. It will look at current definitions of child abuse and neglect and consider signs and indicators of abuse and neglect. It will outline the current legal and policy context and explain the procedures concerning what to do if you have concerns about a child. |
