Safe as Houses

This ½ day module for anyone who manages teams working in Care & Support at Home (Domiciliary Care) services, raising awareness of safety and fire risks in the home.

There will be presentations giving guidance and advice, providing tools and a resource pack to all attendees so you can better serve your clients/customers in safeguarding them and your employees, in their own properties.
The aim of this module is to enable you to raise awareness of safety and fire concerns.
If you apply what you have learnt from this module you will be able to:

  • Identify safety and fire risks and improving wellbeing and safety for your clients/customers
  • Discuss and recognise the importance of safety in the home
  • Provide information and resources for those supporting vulnerable people in their own home
  • Improve Safeguarding outcomes for your clients and customers as well as the safety for your workforce
